So, today I witnessed our dear leader. Mr. Trump. threatening some of our NATO allies who declined to help us keep the Strait of Hormuz clear for international oil shiipments. They somehow think this war is our fault (which it manifestly is) and they decline to dip their toes into this quagmire. Trump says he won't agree to protct them if they won't do the same for us now. I wonder if Mr. Trump understands that NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization??. Does he know that the Strait of Hormuz is NOT IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC??

I know the man (infantile idioti - not man) has at least heard of world war II and has at least some rudimentary idea what happened in Europe during that war. It is clear he does not understand the extent to which NATO has kept Russia from trying to gobble up Western Europe, including a few of the old SSR's that used be a part of the USSR for decades. If he breaks NATO, the war that could erupt will dwarf the travesty going on in Iran right now. He also does not keep any promises he makes either to other countries nor, of course, to us American citizens. Why would he expect NATO countries to believe he would help them in any case?How could he think that he can spit on people and then expect them to be his supporters? I know, the answer. He gets away with spitting on us with false promises and threats of revenge if we don't all love him, He overlooks the fact that the people and the governments of foreign countries don't and never have loved him anyway.

The extent and depth of this man's total ineptitude, his megalomania, his umimaginable egotism and his hatred for all others is beyond frightening. Up until now it was just total lies, completely broken promises, using the Justice department for vengeance and Homeland Security as his own prvate army within the boundaries of this country. Now he has ignited a war he ocasionally says is nearly over and then say will last until he feels in his bones that it is over. In the meantime, today Iran just warned parts of Dubai to evacuate because tjere are US facilities in their area and Iran is going to bomb them. I doubt we have many friends left in the middle east any more other than BiBi Netanyahu. Israel is not nearly powerful enough as an ally to rely on to protect either our homeland or the rest of the middle east from Iran and its global terror network, If Trump thinks that this war is nearly over then we, fellow Americans. will see war with an opponent far stronger than Vietnam, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Iraq. We will see civilian deaths here in the continental US. We will see, and, in fact, are already seeing, cyberwar on a huge scale. And, we will see our "affordability" crisis explode into real proogression. Does Trump care? No he thinks we should all suck it up for his sake.

Next time I will talk about the piss-poor prior planning and management coming out of the secretary of "War" (sic) Defense Mr. Hegseth, who is a parody of a cabinet member and does not know that his bluster that there will be no namby pamby " rules of engagement" or adherence to any "rules of war" and there will be no quarter given in his wars, never knowing that "no quarter" is a war crime and we sentenced a lot of Germans to death for that stuff after WWII.

Will we institute the draft? Will someone use a nuke? What other countries may join the festivities? I leave these questions for today. Cliff
